I don’t do weddings. Or rather I should say I don’t do your traditional full on wedding photographer thing.
I didn’t set out to do weddings at all but I was approached by people who didn’t want the full pushy photographer. People who wanted someone to quietly document the day and capture people having fun and the moments in time that make up one of the most special days of their lives. People who wanted to reduce the time spent organising and managing large groups of people and ending up with photographs that look more like school portraits than special unique pictures.
As a result I guess you could say I ended up doing weddings, I just do them with a more informal approach. An approach based on discussions with the people that really matter, the bride and groom, not the aunt and uncle who want traditional shots for the mantlepiece.
I aim to deliver unique photographs that deserve frames not to be hidden away in a book gathering dust under the bed or at the back of the wardrobe.
I’m very grateful to the people who have let me use shots from their special days here.
